Galleries and Museums

Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO)
The Art Gallery of Ontario holds more than 79,000 works in its collection, which spans from 100 A.D. to the present. The AGO expanded its facility in 2008 with an innovative architectural design by Frank Gehry.

Royal Ontario Museum (ROM)
The Royal Ontario Museum is among the world’s leading museums of natural history, and of world cultures. The ROM completed renovations to its facility in 2007, including the addition of the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal, designed by Daniel Libeskind.

Bata Shoe Museum
The Museum celebrates the style and function of footwear in four galleries. Their website provides exhibition, and ticket information.

The Distillery District
The Distillery District is a national historic site, the largest and best preserved collection of Victorian Industrial Architecture in North America. The Distillery is set on 13 acres in downtown Toronto, with several points of interest including galleries, theatres, restaurants, cafes and boutique retailers.
